Aluminum 2011

2011 aluminum offers excellent machinability but has average weldability, strength, and anodizing response, with low corrosion resistance, necessitating anodizing for protection.

Aluminum 2024

This aluminum alloy withstands fatigue effectively and is highly machinable, but it has poor weldability. It lacks strong corrosion resistance, necessitating surface treatments when used in challenging environments.

Aluminum 5052

This aluminum alloy incorporates magnesium as its main alloying component. It is highly resistant to corrosion because it does not contain copper, but it cannot undergo heat treatment.

Aluminum 6061

With excellent machinability, Aluminum 6061 is a versatile and widely used alloy renowned for its excellent mechanical properties, strength-to-weight ratio, and weldability. 

Aluminum 6063

The alloying elements in aluminum 6063 differ only slightly from those in 6061. While this aluminum alloy is less strong, it provides superior formability.

Aluminum 7075

This alloy is marginally stronger than 7050 aluminum and exhibits excellent fatigue resistance, making it perfect for applications subjected to cyclic loading.

Brass C260

Brass C260 is a zinc-alloyed formulation with approximately 30% zinc with less than 1% lead and iron. This grade is sometimes referred to as cartridge brass thanks to its history of use in ammunition cartridges. 

Brass C360

Copper C360, also referred to as free-cutting brass, is highly machinable due to the relatively high amount of lead in the alloy. Typical applications include gears, screw machine parts, and valve components.

Bronze 642

The alloy of choice when you require strength and excellent corrosion resistance, but also an ease of machinability. This material is typically used to make blots, gears, and valves.

Bronze 932

932 Bearing Bronze is a durable alloy with good wear and corrosion resistance, commonly used for bearings and bushings, but it cannot be heat-treated.

C101

Copper C101, or oxygen-free copper, is the name to an extremely pure metal that comes in at about 99.99% Cu. This high purity level gives it exceptional conductivity, so it is often referred to as HC (high conductivity) copper. 

C110

Copper C110, or Electrolytic Tough Pitch Copper, is a widely used and cost-effective copper alloy with 99.90% purity, suitable for electrical applications and easier to machine than copper 101.

Inconel

Inconel 715, a variant of what’s commonly referred to as nickel-chromium, is a high-strength and corrosion-resistant nickel-based super alloy, making it ideal for parts that are destined to be in extreme environments.

Monel

Monel is a strong, corrosion-resistant alloy made of nickel and copper, suitable for high temperatures, welding, and is non-magnetic.

Stainless Steel 13-8

13-8 stainless steel is a martensitic alloy known for its strength, hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for aerospace and industrial applications.

Stainless Steel 15-5

Stainless Steel 15-5 is a precipitation-hardened (PH) metal, providing excellent toughness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties are enhanced by low-temperature heat treatment, making it ideal for aerospace and nuclear applications.

Stainless Steel 17-4

This alloy has high tensile strength and hardness and excellent corrosion resistance up to high temperatures. It is typically used in gate valves, chemical processing equipment, pump shafts, gears, ball bearings, bushings, and fasteners.

Stainless Steel 303

Stainless steel 303 is ideal for various applications due to its machinability, corrosion resistance, and non-magnetic properties. It remains durable against rust and is malleable and ductile.

Stainless Steel 304

This austenitic stainless steel is a cost-effective alternative to SS316, offering good corrosion resistance and enhanced strength due to higher carbon content, similar to grade 18-8.

Stainless Steel 316

Stainless steel 316, an austenitic grade with molybdenum, provides excellent corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability. It offers good machinability, uniformity, faster machining speeds, longer tool life, and improved part quality at a lower cost.

Stainless Steel 416

Stainless steel 416 is highly machinable but less corrosion-resistant, often rusting more easily. It is available in a soft, annealed state and can be heat-treated for greater hardness and strength.

Stainless Steel 440

Stainless steel 440C, with the highest carbon content in the 400 series, offers mild corrosion resistance but excels in hardness and strength, making it ideal for bearing housings and surgical instruments.

Steel 1018

Commonly known as mild steel, 1018 is very weldable and ideal for surface hardening techniques like carburizing. 1018 Steel can be machined, welded, and is beneficial in applications where high strength isn't necessary, such as in fixtures and mounting plates. It possesses magnetic properties and can be heat-treated.

Steel 1045

1045 carbon steel is a strong, durable, and versatile material, ideal for manufacturing due to its high tensile strength, good machinability, and ease of heat treatment.

Steel 1215

This steel grade is easy to machine due to high sulfur content but has poor weldability and lower strength. It's used for components like studs and screws that require extensive machining.

Steel 4140

Steel Alloy 4140 is a low alloy steel known for its toughness, strength, and resistance to fatigue, abrasion, and impact. The higher carbon content enhances its strength and hardening properties. 

Steel 4142

A medium carbon alloy steel with excellent toughness, ductility, wear resistance, and strength. 4142 can be easily machined in the annealed state, but post-treatment machining should be avoided. 

Steel 4340

4340 Steel is a medium carbon, low alloy steel that is highly useful in environments involving extreme impact, heat, and wear. This steel is a high-strength, low-alloy metal. It exhibits impressive toughness and strength and maintains these properties at relatively high temperatures.

Steel 8620

A medium-strength, low-carbon alloy steel, 8620 contains good toughness and strength properties, along with good core strength. 8620 has a high case toughness and above-average core toughness due to the nickel content.

Titanium

Titanium's corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and strength-to-weight ratio make it ideal for engineering challenges in various industries.
